After introducing us with "The Night Gamer Misfit"
which will debut at Bob Conge's one man show this month at the Phillips Gallery
in Rochester N Y., you can see and read about it here, today Bob decided it was time to show us some more!!
""THE TOY AS ART" would be a befitting phrase to describe the arena my
recent work inhabits. These are pieces inspired by the vivid memories of
a fervent belief in the likes of Santa and Frankenstein, the tragic
loss of that vibrant reality and on occasion my revulsion with the
reality of today. My pieces find expression in the form of small
sculptural figures in vinyl or resin and large folio limited edition
prints." Bob Conge
Check out the pictures below! Conge's baby's are bad-ass! Showing us once again why he is America's number one toy-art builder! One little downside on these.. You need some deep pockets! Remember you are not buying a toy. You are buying a one of a kind hand build and painted Art toy by Bob Conge. Whether you are toy nut or art nut, every self respecting collector should have a Plaseebo piece in his or her collection.
Also keep you eye out for Plaseebo's webshop, here. Bob will eventually take care of you even if you pockets aren't deep enough to buy a 1-off art piece by his hand. Limited more affordable regular runs of some of his toys pop up in his webshope every now and then.
